TIMOTHY F. HOWE 

Managing Partner

Tim has been investing in private equity since joining the Schroder Ventures US operation in 1984. He went on to form Collinson Howe Venture Partners (“CHVP”) with Jeff Collinson in 1990, and co-founded CHL Medical Partners in 1997. Tim has co-managed seven healthcare venture capital portfolios, including two funds at Schroder Ventures, Biotechnology Investment Group LLC, CHVP’s portfolio and the CHL Medical Partners group of funds.

Tim has been a lead investor in numerous early stage venture investments in the biotechnology, medical device and services areas, including Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALXN), American Renal Associates (ARA), Ascend Health, Inc. (acquired by UHS), Incyte Pharmaceuticals Inc. (INCY), Genomic Health (GHDX acquired by Exact Sciences), Innotech, Inc. (IIII, acquired by Johnson & Johnson), Camitro Corporation (acquired by ArQule, Inc.), Medicus Insurance Holdings (acquired by NORCAL Mutual), RxCentric, Inc. (acquired by Allscripts, Inc.), and Medmark Services, Inc. (acquired by Webster Capital), Ambra Health (sold to Intelerad) and Carewell Urgent Care (Sold to private equity investor).

Tim has been a director of thirty companies. He currently serves as board observer at SUN Behavioral Health and Genome Medical. Tim also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia Graduate School of Business 1995-2012, teaching venture capital management.

Tim is a graduate of Columbia College and the Columbia Graduate School of Business.
